ANNANDALE, Va. — Fentanyl continues to be a devastating issue affecting families in communities across America. After losing our loved one, Malcolm, in January 2023, my wife and I have been committed to raising awareness about the dangers of fentanyl and its impact on children in our local community. We recently sat down with News4 Investigative Reporter Tracee Wilkins for an interview as part of the weeklong “Fighting Fentanyl” series. ANNANDALE, Va. — Again, I find myself stating how hard it can be to grieve in public, especially after the loss of a child, but we hope that sharing our story can help prevent other families from experiencing the same pain.

After losing our son, Malcolm, in January, my wife and I decided to work together to raise awareness about the dangers of fentanyl and its effects on children. ANNANDALE, Va. — Organized by the Hillbrook-Tall Oaks Civic Association (HTOCA), the Earth Day Clean-up is a neighborhood volunteer event designed to help keep the community clean. Volunteers received supplies provided by the HTOCA and worked in an assigned neighborhood section.
