ALDIE, Va. — It was a great evening on Tuesday as the JMU Coaches Caravan made its Northern Virginia stop at Lark Brewing Co. The energy and vision surrounding JMU and its athletics programs are continuing to build, and it’s clear there’s a lot to be excited about in Harrisonburg.

It was exciting to hear from JMU President Dr. James Schmidt, Athletics Director Matt Roan, first-year football coach Billy Napier, women’s basketball coach Sean O’Regan, and men’s basketball coach Preston Spradlin.

Proud to be part of the Duke Club community and looking forward to another great year for the Dukes! 💜💛

HARRISONBURG, Va. — What a wonderful evening joining the students and staff of JMU CRU at their annual Vision Dinner last night. This special event was a meaningful highlight of the program year and included the introduction of next year’s leadership team, which includes Matthias. We are incredibly proud of him and look forward to seeing his continued growth when he returns to James Madison University this fall.

HARRISONBURG, Va. — I am incredibly proud of Matthias and the JMU Symphony Orchestra. Their performance on Thursday night was incredible! 🎶 💜 💛

It was a beautiful concert, made even more special as their final performance piece of the evening was composed by JMU student and Annandale High School alum Thien Phan, who has received recognition for his works at VMEA and JMU. It was so moving to hear music created by someone who shared the same high school stage as my son.
