HARRISONBURG, Va. — The James Madison University Chamber Orchestra presented its Fall performance, Light and Shadow, on November 17 in the Forbes Recital Hall. The concert showcased the talents of the Chamber Orchestra musicians and featured a special performance by Dr. Sue Barber on bassoon.
The evening’s program included the Overture to Così fan tutte by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the Bassoon Concerto by Nino Rota, and Symphony No. 1 in C minor by Emilie Mayer. These works highlighted contrasting tones and textures, echoing the concert’s thematic exploration of light and shadow through music.

After days of searching, we received the news that our beloved Neltron Shaw Jr./Seven/ManMan has been found, but not in the way we had prayed for. He is gone, and our family is devastated beyond words.
We want to thank every single person who helped look for him — those who shared posts, joined the search, sent messages, and lifted us up in prayer. Your love, compassion, and support have meant more than we can ever express.
As we begin to process this unimaginable loss, we ask for continued prayers and gentle understanding.
